My husband I went for a late afternoon drive on some backroads we had not traveled before on this gloomy day. We were saddened by the poverty that lined the country roads... smoke coming from chimneys of shacks that hardly looked inhabitable. We came upon this farm that had plenty of corn for the cows. Many of the farms appeared abandoned, barns fallen into disrepair.
The red of the bins' roofs is so eye-catching. The tractor's red and then the equipment's bit of color is noticed next. I wonder if the yellow around the bins is kernels that have fallen off the cobs or ones robbed through the wiring by hungry little critters. It's rare to see these corn bins in use anymore. Nicely captured countryside scene.
