We had to let go of our sweet brown-eyed girl, Maggie, after almost 13 years. Maggie was a little stray who showed up on our doorstep on a cold November day in 2003. After trying to find her owner, she settled in as one of our family. She loved us with her whole heart ( and she had little room for many others... she particularly did not like men, and since we don't know her background we assumed a man had not treated her well). She had lots of fun quirky little habits that made us laugh, she loved her toys, demanded petting often, and loved to snuggle. She was a good companion for our other dog, Molly, who is missing Maggie as much as we are. Just wanted to pay a little tribute to the love we shared.
What a cutie. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is such a big sadness. Your tribute show how much she was loved and be sure you gave her a happy and very loved life.
Cathy, I'm sad for your family and appreciate the tribute represented in your collage. Someone told me, when we had to put down our wonderful Nutmeg, that the minute a dog comes into your life, you know they will break your heart. But we wouldn't want to miss those years we have together. Wishing you many happy memories to ease your heartbreak.
