Sushi for Thanksgiving by calm

Sushi for Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with our son's girlfriend's family... her Mom works at the local university and the family always invite a couple of students who don't get to go home for the holiday to join them for a traditional American Thanksgiving meal. A young Japanese couple with a baby brought authentic sushi that was wonderful! There was also a young man working on his MBA from Nigeria. The family has befriended these students for the past few years. Gram and Nana are two very hip grandmas, along with the rest of the family... a delightful evening!
That must have made for a really interesting fun evening. What a lovely idea to invite those students from other countries- a blessing for all of them - and you, too.

@milaniet @seattlite @danette @jgpittenger Thanks for you kind words on diary shot... The Japanese couple are returning to Japan next week, and the family is sad to see them go... one of the Grandmas had met with the young woman every week for the past 3 years teaching her English, as Grandma had been a missionary to Japan for many years and could converse with her. The couple have an adorable baby! The Nigerian student will complete his degree this semester and plans to return to his homeland.

Oh that looks so great! And such a great tradition to invite the stragglers at the university. We did that off and on and it was always so much fun.
