Diary: First wobbly tooth

H came home from school today very excited that her "wobbly" tooth is now actually really wobbly. We have been calling her sharkbait for a couple weeks now with those big teeth coming up behind!
Oooh - exciting times!! Does the tooth fairy visit your house?

* Stands by the open door with a ball of string..
How much does the fairy leave these days?

When I was a kid my parents would give us caramel cubes to encourage wobbly teeth to come out without having to be yanked. I always looked forward to a wobbly tooth.

Oh, my son did that, have his teeth come in behind and then have to wiggle out the baby ones!

@kwiksilver yes re-mortgaging as we speak!
@gphelps5 aiming for 20p but think a £1 is nearer the going rate. Bloody inflation
@beteljooz Perhaps I will try that.. she couldn't eat her dinner because she kept bashing it and its hurting
@ariel817 I think her mouth just isn't big enough for big teeth yet! Loud enough certainly!

Yeah, we did $1 for our kids (not sure how that compares), but there were families that did $5 each!! I was like don't let your tooth fairy talk to my tooth fairy, for goodness sakes! On the whole teeth come in behind thing, the only time it was a problem was a top tooth couldn't move forward once the baby tooth got out of the way, it got trapped behind the bottom teeth, and we ended up doing a backwards-retainer that had a spring that pushed it forward for a little bit to get it on the right side of the bottom teeth.

So glad I'm past that stage! I think planning a wedding is easier than when my daughter had loose teeth! You would have thought the world was coming to an end. haha
Great picture, showing the permanent teeth behind. In time, the dentist might be interest in seeing this.
Good luck to your daughter!
