Doddington Hall by carole_sandford

Doddington Hall

Old Elizabethan house about 15 miles from where we live. About half of the house is open to the public & in the 19 or so years that we have lived in Lincolnshire, until today, we havent managed to get inside! It doesn't open as often as some, as the family still live in the other half , or there has been a wedding, or some other thing that has stopped entrance! The whole thing must have been tuely magnificent in its day.
A gorgeous building!

Have an almost exact same photograph on my camera. Light and view was excellent today and, after almost 19yrs, about time we went in the house.

Nice shot of a rather grand residence. It's on our to do list but I seem to be too busy chasing planes :)

Looks very stately - I tend to ignore any castles etc on my doorstep, silly really
