Wells Cathedral by carole_sandford

Wells Cathedral

City of Wells with the cathedral up ahead. Phil had gone to top up the parking whilst I took a slow walk towards the bishops palace.
Fabulous shot and scene.

Apart from the whitewash, this view remind me of Lincoln!

@suzanne234 @carole_sandford Both magnificent and both a monument to the extreme wealth of the church against the poverty at that time. Nice picture 🙂

I lived in the UK for the first 35 years of my life, its taken 20 years of living in NZ to make me appreciate the history and age of the British buildings.

@johnsutton very true about the wealth of the church. I would say that Wells Cathedral is more ornate ( on the outside) than Lincoln’s. It has statues all over it.
