I didn’t take this picture, and the person that did is most likely long dead! I have never seen this photo before today. Amazingly this is a picture of my great grandparents Lucy & Henry Price. ( Connor’s great great great grandparents!).
The reason that I have now seen it? I posted a WW1 photo of my Grandad on Facebook. In a site that is all about my hometown of Loughborough. My Grandad’s niece saw it & responded. So not only am I now in contact with my mothers cousin, but I now know what my great grandparents looked like! Facebook, can (sometimes) be a wonderful thing! So, I just had to share this......
@johnsutton@beryl she doesn’t look to happy does she, but then I suppose it depends how long it took to take, none of your point & press then! I’m not sure when this was taken but I’m guessing 1930s.
How wonderful. I don't have many photos of my dad's side of the family because he died when I was three years old and my Mum moved away from that area. It was only when I traced my family history that I managed to get copies of my grandfathers photos and great grandfathers too through distant relatives. It is so nice to see these people come to life again.
