Busy River Witham

Also from yesterday. You don’t always see that much traffic on the River Witham, but there were quite a few boats yesterday. A small motor boat had come out of the “ Glory Hole” of High Bridge & the tug in the foreground was waiting for it to pass. The back of High Bridge Cafe, which I have featured before can be seen in the background also. The “Glory Hole” is a local name, as the underneath of the bridge as a notorious past, with treasure being stowed there & the occasional body being washed up there! Not a place to go after dark in bygone times - I visualise it as seems from Oliver with Fagin & Old Bill Sykes!
What a lovely shot with the tug all in red waiting patiently for the little motor boat come scurrying by !

Is that the bit in the middle of Lincoln? It looks familiar.

@chimfa yes Jane. The black & white building is High Cross Cafe which is built on the bridge. The front is on the high street, it is next to Marks & Spencers.

This looks interesting, not a part of Lincoln I’m familiar with.
