I don’t do selfie’s very often, but I thought I would today. This is me this morning up at RAF Scampton. I was hoping to get the synchro pair doing amazing things, but it was a 7 ship that went up. So, you have me instead 😉

You are so lucky to have the opportunity for these airplane shots. We brought two kiwi's back to the UK with us a couple of years ago and took them to Leuchars. I have never seen anyone get so excited watching jet fighters practicing taking off.

@jyokota correct, it is 100-400. I use it a lot not just for photographing aeroplanes. It’s a really nice lens.

@carole_sandford I have had that lens continuously on my camera since about April, with occasionally switching to the 180mm I acquired used this summer. It's such a heavy lens but since I'm not going anywhere except my backyard it's been easy to haul around from house to yard. It's one of two lenses my husband bought me for my last birthday I got to have with him. So I feel like he prepared me for my pandemic photography.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond in front of me is a chain mail fence. There was an area near one of the posts where I was able to prop my phone. Used the self timer on the phone - simples!
