A diary entry for today. Lincolnshire, Conningsby to be precise, at 41.3°C! I have to say I am really not enjoying this & think tonight will be another miserable one for staying cool & sleeping!
We were sat outside earlier in the shade with our feet in the grandkids paddling pool! There is a breeze but it’s a very hot one!
The breeze is almost as crazy as the still air, just boiling hot. I'm not enjoying it partly because it's uncomfortable but mainly because it's not normal.
Oh dear, that is hot. Stay cool and hydrated. Seattle's summer has been cool, rainy with temps in the low 70's. However, next week it is supposed to get into the 80's.
I've just put my boots on, because my feet were cold in just socks, and a fleecy. Cold, wet and miserable here in NZ. We usually try to be away in July, as it's the worst time of year here, but unfortunately we had no plans made due to the uncertainty of being able to get back in the country again.
I bet you are wilting. We went out to a talk yesterday given by a local chap called Greg Blaze about his time spent in Jerusalem. His book was called No Waves in Palestine. I was rugged up with lots of layers. It was about 12 degrees here and I must have looked like Nanook of the North. ha ha. Please send us some of your hot weather.
I have been aware of your heatwave, just messaged a friend to see if they were all right. Stay cool and hopefully it will pass soon. I am also experiencing prolonged higher temperatures. So unlike Colorado.
Stay cool
