Those of you that follow Phil will be aware that we ended up being put into a hotel after our plane developed an engine problem. It’s basic , but I suppose better than trying to sleep at the airport & at least we could have a shower, change of clothes & breakfast. Rescheduled flight should be at 3pm today.
So, This is the view from our hotel window, with a few reflections as the window doesn’t open. Played with in Snapseed. It appears to be a police station.
1st world problems. Shit happens. At least you’re all not watching a news story on Sky about a plane crashing on takeoff at Las Palmas last night and forensics trying to identify charred remains with dna.
oh dear , we were once delayed 12 hours at Mahon with the long lost BMIbaby . One of the Menorcan ground staff knocked a sensor off the plane with the mobile walkway. They had to fly a new part in from East Mids Airport with an engineer to fit it !
@phil_howcroft similar thing I think, in that probably having to fly part & engineer out to the island! No flying 10.15am today - allegedly! We have had so many time changes, talk about “ get on the bus , get off the bus”!
