Summer Poppy

Both Phil & I have been looking for Poppy Fields, but no luck! I did find some on the edge of of a wheat field though. Had to gingerly trample my way across long grass, avoiding the ditch - the things we do in the name of photography!.....

This is lovely, yes, we do go off our beaten path to find just the best photo opp we can. The quest adds so much to the whole experience! "Ditches, tall grasses", love that!

Yes. The things we do. Our poppies were don a few months ago. I like that you found one and the color draws our attention. But I think it is all light dancing off the green stems and flowers in the background that make this shot so interesting.
