Final one for this challenge & this is the one I thought I was going to struggle with the most......
until that is, I found that my little camera does "miniture". So Phil & both headed off to Lincoln this morning, went to the top of a multistorey car park to see what we could get.
This is the back of the Methodist Church, that is on Monks Road in the city, looking up towards the cathedral. The building in front has a sign which says its the Odd Fellows Hall - googling the Oddfellows it says that they are a friendship society - yet more education in the name of 365!
“You found” that your camera had ‘Tilt shift’ did you? Hmmmmm. My recollection is slightly different. 😜😜
That said, I’ve known my ‘other’ camera had the ‘Miniature’ setting also, but until this challenge, and after Googling what the h$&* “Tilt Shift” was, I’d never used it. Seeing the effect, I now totally get it (but am unlikely to ever use it again).
Also, didn’t know that this church was Methodist. Nice shot to end the OWO Challenge.
Well done. this really makes a pretty photo. have to read up on tilt shift to see if I can do it. I don't have a camera that has tilt shift in ut. So I'll have to look for a sight that can donit. It is nice that Phil is a camera buff like you and you can both work to find interesting things to photograph.
@henrir@louannwarren the other option, if you have a smart phone/ iPad is to download a free shift tilt app. That is what I was going to do before I realised my camera did it.
Like Phil, I don’t think this is a thing I would use again particularly.
Phil is more technical than me & I guess I’m more arty than him, so yes, we can help each other.
This looks very good. I like the way the tilt shift setting "bumps up" the colours a bit as well. So glad I had the "toy" setting on my camera as well for this challenge !
This photo really works well for tilt shift. I've learned so much about 'tilt shift' this past week . . . I hadn't heard of it before then. I love learning so much about photography on 365! :-)
