I do think geneology is interesting. I have traced mine and my husband's ancesters back a ways, but after a couple of generations, it does get hard to get the information.
I have done a lot of my family history too. It is so interesting what you find out isn't it. Lots of skeletons sometimes. No aristocracy in our family either ha ha
I enjoy this too- my cousin has done extensive research on our family and learned that my paternal grandmother's family were among the first settlers of New Amsterdam (which is now known as New York City!). Love the picture- was that 3 sisters getting married at the same time?
@olivetreeann the wedding photo is actually my mum & dad. Fm L to R , my Dad’s cousin, his sister, dad, mum, my mums friend & my mums Dad. Not sure who the children are, but not related. This took place 22.09.1945.
Wow, how long has you it taken you to go back that far?? I'm in awe of you to ahve the dedication to search through archives and Ancestry etc. TV make it look so easy (and cheap).
