Country Letter Box

For the rainbow month, today’s offering is a red letter box (pillar box or mail box). Out in the villages of Lincolnshire they have these smaller versions on poles. So, for red day, I thought, you can’t get much more red!

So cool. I ordered a coat for my granddaughter online recently and it shipped from England via Royal Mail. I followed their tracking number from England to Chicago to Dallas, within 10 days. I was properly amazed at Royal Mail’s tracking capabilities!

Lovely! There are still a few of these around the islands. Some go even back to King George and maybe (not sure) to Queen Victoria.
