The Grey Residence

... or at least what is left of it. I have photographed these ruins before for the project, but I always think they are worth a rehash. These are the ruins of the family home of Lady Jane Grey, who was queen of England for nine days, before she was deposed by the rightful heir, Mary. Daughter of Henry the eighth & Katherine of Aragon.
I always think it sad she's never called Queen Jane, as she was queen for just over a week. History, as well as the menfolk of her family, treats her badly

@30pics4jackiesdiamond as with many young girls she was the victim of the ambitious menfolk of her family! Can’t official be called queen because she wasn’t crowned, like Edward VIII, my dad always referred to him as the Prince of Wales!
