Pears transparent soap is a brand of soap first produced and sold in 1807 by Andrew Pears, at a factory just off Oxford Street in London, England. It was the world's first mass-market translucent soap. It now also comes as a liquid soap, which was actually one of the first things that Phil & I could smell when our sense of smell started to return! It also happens to be orange - ideal for today!
Pears - a blast from the past .. how I loved the smell and silky feel of the pear soap I didn't know they did a hand wash .... lovely light and golden glow
Gosh, I can smell that even from the picture, it bring back such memories. My Gran always used it and I can still remember the feel and smell of her washing my hands as a small child!
I do think we were smelling it from memory at one stage; everything else smelt of nothing, but that. Smell pretty much back now, taste still bonkers.
Great capture
