I only worked a half day today (6 hrs) but an utterly frustrating 6 hrs. I have spent most that time doing battle with gp surgeries & pharmacies. The pharmacy that supplies & delivers our drugs have for some time ( apart from the odd lucky occasion) been non contactable. The phone just rings & rings & rings! The gp surgery says scripts have been issued! We don’t have the drugs in our possession! Absolute nightmare which is still not resolved! I have spent so much time on the phone! Have passed it on to the manager who will be escalating our complaints on Monday! In the meantime this is much needed!
Sounds like my doctor's nurse's battle with my drug company - has tried for 6 months to get someone to answer and give her a decision on a drug they want me to take - can't get to talk to a live person!
I think every nurse in the world understands your frustration- you are on the first level of care and it's impossible to do that without the right tools! I hope you have a peaceful and refreshing evening!

Oh my goodness. Have two of these beauties, you need them. I don’t know how businesses can stay in business when they don’t take care of their customers. Maybe you could find another pharmacy? The one you are using now does not deserve your business. I’m not familiar with “GP surgeries”. But if they are replaceable I would replace them too!
@louannwarren GP surgeries, General Practitioner - doctor. Surgery is the building where we see a doctor, where our doctors records are kept. There is actually a lot of anger against them at the moment, as they are still not visiting our residents in person, all consultations done by video call! How can you diagnose things properly without listening to chests, looking at rashes etc. Those of us who have worked all through the pandemic , having to deal with covid patients are quite resentful that they still hide in their surgeries!
@carole_sandford heartbreaking and so unfair, your residents deserve so much more. Right is right and wrong is wrong, you are dealing with serious wrongs!
