We have about 4 or 5 sun flowers , which are not going to be particularly tall & like all the other plants in the garden are struggling! This was taken before 10 am this morning, in quite soft sunlight! By late afternoon temperatures rose to 37C, 98.6F!! Not temperatures we are used to & our country is not built for! More tomorrow & by this time tomorrow we are promised thunderstorms - bring it on!
Beautiful, I am sure the sunflowers will enjoy the heat. The thing about high temperatures in the UK is the humidity isn't it. We usually have dry heat when the temperatures are high here in our part of the world and that is more bearable. Humidity is the killer.
@onewing absolutely Babs! Humidity is horrible! Plus our houses are insulated against the cold & so retain heat & virtually no one has air con! I woke up at 02.30hrs last night , it was still 22C, awful & I had a fan, I pity anyone that doesn’t have one!
