Phil & I are usually filled with dread if we are having to photograph a landscape. This is mainly because our county is the flattest in the Uk, it is devoid of some of the main components, like hills or mountains with running streams etc. We need good light & cloudscapes to add interest & elevate a shot from being flat & grey. Hopefully I have achieved that.
Phil has posted a link to a video about Lincolnshire landscapes which is worth a watch, for the first part at least - describes our dilemma perfectly ….
You've done a great job here by putting something of interest in the foreground and allowing the sky to be filled with all those dramatic clouds. Well done!
Beautiful capture of this landscape. I love the sharpness of the silhouettes. I have a similar situation, so my solution is to look through vacation photos and convert them.
