Loughborough Carillon by carole_sandford

Loughborough Carillon

We were down in my home town of Loughborough today & had a wander around the local town park. The Carillon building is a war memorial to the town dead of WW1. There are 47 bells in tower & there are regular recitals.
This photo brings back happy memories of my Aunt and Uncle who lived 5 mins from the carillon

It doesn’t look big enough for 47 bells. A great memorial building.

@wakelys some are quite tiny I would say, certainly not the size of Great Paul, which incidentally, was also cast at Loughborough, at Taylor’s Bell Foundry.
