@rosiekind .They were on display at Lamport Rally. The couple who run the charity display at a ot of our local rallies. They also gave a talk, recently at Hollowell Steam Club( John is a member) and brought some owls with them, but I didn't have my camera with me.
Oh wow, barn owls are sooooo cool and what an amazing close-up!!! I love how the center of that arch above his eyes hits that wonderful lower-left space of the frame and I agree with Marybeth - he does appear sad, or thinking. Its not difficult to see why people associate owls with wisdom when you see an image like this. You must live in a wonderful part of the world for bird-watching; I've only seen one barn own in the wild in my whole life! Anyway, FAV for sure, you really have a wonderful way of photographing animals and showing that they are complex beings worthy of our admiration!!
@mrsc19 .These owls are all rescue birds, and belong to a charity, and they are exhibited at shows,to raise money. If they are able to to be let free again, they are, once they're better. One of the Tawny's had broken it's wing,so can't be free'd.
Saw this on the TT just now, when some people notified me my shot was on there. Congrats on making the TT! awesome shot ! I think we all just LOVE owls...they are so amazing!
