I felt very privileged yesterday,when mother swan brought her little family right up close to me.they were only about 4ft from me,and she didn't seem to mind my presence at all.The grooved marks in the bank are made by the swans scraping it with their beaks.I don't know if it's nutritious or aids digestion,but they all do it.
