The Stefanos Crater,Nissyros (best viewed on black) 1

The last volcanic eruption was in 1873,but steam and sulphur bubble up to the surface of the crater all the time.It's recommended to wear strong,old shoes when walking across the crater as the surface is still quite hot underfoot.
Part of the 'James Bond' film "Moonraker" was filmed here.
