Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire by carolmw

Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire

The building of Waddesdon Manor,a French Renaissance-style chateau, was begun in 1874,by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild,to house his extraordinary art collection, and to entertain fashionable society. It was bequeathed to the National Trust and opened to the public in the late 1950's.
I have posted another shot of it in my 2nd album, showing the sweeping lawns and driveway up to the main entrance.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs, always much appreciated.
