Wood Sandpiper by carolmw

Wood Sandpiper

I was lucky to see this small wader in the inner harbour at Amble.John was first to spot it .It has been given Amber status by the RSPB.There are only about 11-25 breeding pairs in the UK,and are usually seen in passage to Africa during the Autumn.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs, always much appreciated.
