Shag

It is often quite difficult to tell the difference between Shags and Cormorants.The Shag has a green sheen on it's feathers,and at breeding time they have a tuft of feathers on their heads.
We're taking Rosie to East Midlands Airport this morning.She's going home to Kos for the summer.

Brilliant shot... thanks for the explanation. I've never seen Frags on the west coast of Canada. I'll have to see what their range is. Love the sheen and composition.
