An Old Sea Dog by carolmw

An Old Sea Dog

We arrived home safely from Kos,yesterday. The earthquake is still giving out aftershocks, but this is good as it is gradually getting rid of the energy. It's likely to continue for another 3 weeks.Inspection has begun on damaged buildings,to decide whether or not they are habitable....needing repairs,or need to be pulled down. The newer buildings have been built to be earthquake safe, just as well as Rosie's apartment really seemed to move from side to side.
Many thanks for all your good wishes and thoughts, very much appreciated.
Fantastic shot fav

should imagine a lot of work will be required to repair and rebuild. Not just the buildings but extensive roadworks too if that fissure you posted a photo of is anything to go by.
A lovely, characterful portrait - great expression. Nicely done. There's something in his smile that reminds me of Patrick Stewart.

That is a long time to have aftershocks. So sad, devastating and scary too. Glad there are buildings built to code that were able to withstand this earthquake. So scary to sway like that and have no control over it. What a great shot this is. Glad you made it home safely. FAV
