George's mother has a large outdoor oven(fournos),and ladies of the village also use it to bake their bread.This is done in very large batches.The bread is double baked,so it is hard and keeps for a long time.It is known as Paksimadi.It is broken into pieces and softened with a little water or olive oil for eating.
