Meekness

For the challenge expression bw-20. this is the typical bovine expression that can be defined as meekness or...lack of expression. But she was looking at me so intensely that I thought I should give her the satisfaction of being exposed to the world public!
Lovely cow portrait. I like the black and white. It is funny to see the tag in its ear, which to this dirty old man might just explain its rather sad, soulful and unsatisfied expression. Love the way that it is looking at you.

@mbrutus The expression of cows is never very lively. They look at you and think (possibly). The tag on the ear is not a bad sign. These animals roam freely in the fields and when it's too cold they have a stable where to repair. Several were nursing veals and as you see in the picture cows' siesta they are not very busy or distressed like humans. Even the ones of us who do not have a tag on the esr

I admire you for your naiveté that you did not understand my allusion nor to the existence of the tag but to the coincidence of what number his tag happens to be. That number took on a large significance in the Srates during the Sixties. But above all else, I am glad that Italian cows have such pastorally or Sullivan lives. Here we n the states, many do and others so not. All that said, I still really like your cow portrait. Perhaps we could do some market research and find out what the market demand is for Cow portraiture. You could open up a studio after your retirement that catered to sentimental farmers and there bovine friends. Just a thought. They would definitely be lucky to have you. You would not disappoint. ;-)
