After so many months of lockdown, the artistic directors of the Arena hope to be able to open for the Opera summer season, with one third or less of the seats adequately separated. Being in open air the risk of contracting the virus, while face masked, should be almost nihil. it will depend on the numbers …in the meantime the works inside are going on and the doors are closed with interesting copies of old pictures. I was lucky enough to see the inside through an opening forgotten by the carpenters gone out for lunch
@helenhall who knows, Helen? It will depend on the epidemics and on the number of people vaccinated I guess. It would be a great joy. I will receive my second dose the day after tomorrow, but my husband has not yet received the first shot. We hear that in the UK life is slowly going back to normal, so there is room for hope
@caterina not quite normal yet. We still have essential shops only open and we are allowed to meet and socially distance in groups of up to 6 outdoors. That's it so far. It remains to be seen if we can keep to the timetable. I have a while to wait yet for my second dose as they are doing them 12 weeks apart in UK.
