OOF Challenge - Runner

Another of the many reasons I love 365, the challenges get me trying things I would not normally do. It goes against the grain to deliberately shoot an entirely out of focus image but this afternoon I played around with the technique and actually ended up with a couple of images I rather like. Kind of a dreamy almost impressionist look. I'll certainly try that again.
Very well done!

@jakb, @ludwigsdiana. Thanks for your kind comments. You have to either use a manual focus lens or turn off auto focus and open lens to widest aperture then use your shortest focusing distance so that everything is thrown out of focus. You can play around with this a little to vary the effect. I found that keeping things simple in the frame worked best, an out of focus clutter is just a mess. Although with the right colours and patterns you could end up with a striking abstract. Experiment is the key. I plan to do more.
