Heading to port.

My sister-in-law recently gave me a Minolta XTsi SLR that she hadn’t used in years and I finally got around to putting a roll of film through it. It was fun shooting film again after so long however I was a little disappointed in the quality of the scan. If I do this again I will definitely pay more for a higher resolution scan. Still, it was an enjoyable trip back in time. This shot is basically SOOC although I did crop it a little, add a bit of sharpening and remove a colour cast that seemed to affect every image on the roll. I used Kodak 200 colour negative film.
film is a nice thought, but I'm pretty addicted to digital now. Lovely shot though.

I cannot even imagine what it must be like to shoot with film as I am a very late starter. It's about time they head back to port, the weather looks rather ominous.

The changing light across the sky is wonderful. I'm not sure I'd remember how to use film!

@ljmanning The hardest part is remembering there is no LCD screen to chimp.

@ludwigsdiana That dark cloud did bring heavy rain. I got back to my car just in time.

Looks like the boat is heading into the storm or the night.

Lovely composition and capture of that storm. I need to start shooting film again but I haven't found the camera since the move north.
