Float Home by cdcook48

Float Home

This is a follow up to yesterday's post of Rose Cottage. I mentioned that my sister-in-law lived on a float home as well. This is her home, as you can see it is much more conventional looking than that cute little cottage. When she and her husband bought it it was only a single story dwelling. They added the second floor which made it much more spacious. They keep their fishing boat moored just behind the house. Living on the water is a unique life style and it is a gorgeous location. Plus, they don't have to mow the lawn like I just did today. They probably went fishing.
Looks charming.

Sounds like an interesting life. Does it rock like a boat if you sleep there? I love your reflection included.

It's still quite fancy for what I would have labeled a house boat.

This looks so inviting!

@thewatersphotos No. it is strictly a floating home, no motor. If it has to be moved it needs to be towed by a boat.

@randystreat The difference is that house boats are actually boats with their own motor but float homes are built on a floating platform and have no means of propulsion.
