I don’t pretend to be a wildlife photographer but when a doe and fawn walk right past aren’t you obligated to take their picture? This is almost the exact spot I saw the bear a couple of days previously although with the tide out here the beach is kind of ugly. Mom was on a mission and walked quickly past us but baby was either skittish or curious and kept stopping to look around then running to catch up to mom.

Such a wonderful capture of the two, one certainly cannot miss such a great opportunity. You are right, the beach is kind of ugly but has nice textures.
