Ship Cradle, Britannia Shipyards

This cradle at Britannia Shipyards was used to pull boats out of the water and into drydock for repairs.

Today marks my 3rd anniversary and the beginning of year 4 with 365. I enjoy being part of this great community very much. I appreciate all your views, comments and fav's and do my very best to reciprocate. It is hard sometimes, especially when real life gets in the way but, as I said, I do my best
So many wonderful shapes, textures and tones, such a great capture of this interesting scene.

I love all your shots like these. However, I tend not to have my computer screen overly bright so to me your photo's look a little dark and 'moody' but that is what I like.

Love the rather somber colour tones in this one, also love the feeling of depth. Not sure if that is created by the diagonal leading line at the front, or what but, whatever it is, it works for me.

I love your images of this area. You've captured a beautiful, sad romanticism in them.
