Panning joggers is a bit tricky. They aren’t moving very fast and I found I was panning the camera too quickly. There were quite a few misses before I got one that I was happy with

Great shot. Is this a case when one might use an ND filter (in order to lengthen the exposure time)? Or wouldn't that have helped either?
@monikozi I chose the background specifically because I wanted the joggers to stand out from it. A 3 stop ND filter might help if it was a really bright sunny day but its not really necessary. You don't want your shutter speed to be too slow because some part of the subject needs to be in focus, usually the face if it's a human. In this case I zone focussed with an aperture of f/18, 1/60 sec shutter and tried to pan at the same speed she was running. The idea is to convey a sense of movement and I think it worked here with her feet and hands blurred but her face in focus.
