I am packing to leave on vacation Sunday to Charleston, SC. So, I'm busy. I went out to the garden to find this beauty - and had a tough time with the focus.
I think your focus is fine Cathy. If you're trying to do a macro it is rare that you will get the whole subject in focus. The focus on the stamen of this flower is clear and I feel that that is where you were focusing.
This is a really lovely photo and the colours in that flower are gorgeous.
@danacarruthers Dana thank you for the helpful response. I was focusing on the stamen but tried repeatedly for more clarity to show the many shades of purple behind it and didn't feel like I achieved what I was trying for. I am learning....
