I want to thank each of you for your comments and favs on my roses from yesterday. You put me on the Popular Page and I am so honored to be there.
Remember the story about the son that sent the roses? Well, meet my son, Michael. I took the camera and went to the Butterfly Show again this afternoon with my son, his wife and my grandson Garrett who was supposed to have the butterfly on his head. And I got quite a few better shots than this, even some of my grandson the Butterfly Whisperer. But this is the shot that I had to use for today. Michael and I were sitting on a little wall watching the kids when the biggest, most beautiful, coveted blue landed on his head.
I just LOVE this ... his smile and expression are priceless! What fun that must have been. We just had a butterfly exhibit here and I loved shooting in there. I think that I caught a capture of one similar to this beautiful one that you got. Gorgeous photo.
It's so funny when they do this; I was told at the local butterfly house that they're attracted to the scent of hair product, particularly to women's hairspray. Beautiful butterfly and Michael looks like he's enjoying the experience.

Fabulous shot! The few times that I've been to a butterfly conservatory, the blues eluded my attempts to photograph them. The only time they stayed still was to feed with their wings folded up! Good for you!
@timandelke I have not had great luck with the blues either. But I was sitting right by Michael when the butterfly landed and I thought that was cool and by the time I had my camera up it spread it's wings. A gift.
