I don't know why but I still seem to be running behind myself. I am trying to catch up on your photos and comments. If I haven't yet - my apologies.
Three days away from home shouldn't take me this long to play catch up - but then I had to enjoy the three days gone and the days home and fit in the catching up........You get the picture - literally
Is that Lavatera? Funny you should post that today because when i was about to have Rachel we ended up between houses and renting from a friend. I was a bit sad because I wanted to decorate a nursery and all that but it had a nice garden with kind neighbours and an amazing Lavatera plant that was covered in flowers and got better and better until I was in the garden in labour admiring it one morning! 96 hrs later I was back with baby, hormones rampant and there had been a thunderstorm and the Lavatera had dropped all its flowers. It seemed like a metaphor for the huge change I had undergone in those few days and returning to a strange house, full of emotion and sleep deprived I was really struck by the flowers all over the ground and felt bonded to that plant! I still love them and we've planted them in all gardens since but temporarily don't have one as the latest had gone too mad!
A lovely story from Judith, funny how certain plants weave so many memories. Big fat buds here & one about to burst & in connection with Judiths story & the fat bud bursting we heard today we are to become grandparents again but early days so not posting on my site yet!
Loved the stories from @judithg and @happypat ! With over 300 people to follow, Cathy, and 3 days away - that makes 900 photos to catch up on! I regularly go through mine and chop out the ones who never comment or are in a different time zone! I love to see the photos of the people I interact with! Lavatera has such a funny name and such a good flowering time!
@psychographer The light is what got my attention. @myautofocuslife Thanks Livia. @meisen325 It seems to have been very busy for me. @houser934 Thanks Kathryn. Another one where my neighbors probably wonder what I am doing. @jackie8 It sure does happen! @judithg In my neck of the woods it is Rose of Sharon. Ours is being grown as a tree but if left on it's own they will spread like crazy. I'm pruning this one to keep the shape. What a great piece of your life to share. @happypat Congratulations!! How many do you have, Pat?
@happypat Aww - how exciting - an NZ one presumably. I have to say that Nigel isn't quite so emotionally attached to Lavatera (he blames it all on gas and air!) and I have to fight him to get them as they do need a firm hand - I hadn't thought of making a tree. @maggiemae
@happypat So that makes the middle name "Amen" as we say in these parts. @sugarmuser Thank you Sharon. @marlboromaam I'm trying to stay afloat - at least for today. @girlie Thanks Robin. Just don't want to get dropped as a non commenter. @bobbyj Thanks Bobby. It caught my eye. @kellc Next you will probably see all of those buds blooming.
Always so little time, I seem to be getting up earlier and earlier to catch up!!!!!!! Love this shot and all the stories it brought out!! a bit like Pat's zucchini!!!

::sigh:: Seems like no matter how hard I try, I can't stay caught up! We may just sink together, gal!
@sugarmuser Thank you Sharon.
