This is one of the loves of my life - the one that is moving to Indianapolis in 13 days. It is only a couple of hours away - but nobody in my family has ever lived anywhere but here before. My future Olympian. Guess his sport.
And there aren't many folks on the planet that make me smile more than this five year old piece of my heart.
This is also my first entry for both of the August challenges. If I have half as much fun in August as I did in July it will be awesome.
Nothing captures the heart more than a grandchild ... at least that's my opinion! (including our children, of course!) Just remember that he won't be that far away, Cathy!
Ohhh Cathy I feel your pain! This is an Excellent way to start your challenge...im right along with you on this one! I tried to upload a pic of my grandaughter as she was about to complete her uneven parraell bars that i took last fall..but then that would have been cheating ! My Daughter reposted it on my facebook and boy i was so tempted!! It even was a picture that i took of her myself! Your Garrett is gorgeous! :)
Cute pic! I know that Indy seems a long way away for you but consider my parent's plight- I moved to the other side of the world and then had my babies- now 10 and 8. My parents can almost count on one hand the number of visits they've had with their grandchildren. The last time was over 3 years ago now. Melbourne Australia is a LONG, LONG way from Indiana. Cincinnati is just next door! You'll get used to it. LOL!
Too cute. He will feel no pain in that suit. It's a big world out there, just think of it as a place to visit for holidays. Both my kids are 1000's km away (boo hoo)
@maggiemae Thank you. He is a cute looking wee fellow to me too @jillmstruss Watch out world is right. @yonnie I hope so. I'm sort of doing two at once so we'll see how that works out. @karenann I totally agree with you. A world different than how I feel about my sons. @ellimae Thanks Ellen. It just worked out that we were doing this today. @marlboromaam They all did a lot of back pedaling during the sparing. @kerristephens Thanks, Kerri. @terryvet92 I"m sure I will. But I bet your parents were devastated when you moved. @kamb I would hate that. I know it could be a lot worse. @aurorajane I'll be spending a lot of time there. @myautofocuslife Thank you Livia. @lwain I am framing this one. @gerry Thanks Gerry and thanks for the fav. He is such a joy. @timandelke I think he could do all of them in this. He is doing Karate which is standing in for Judo for me here. @cromwell That was exactly what I thought. All these little boys with a handful of little girls and they leave the most vulnerable place uncovered. Duh.....
I can only imagine how much you're going to miss him! Hopefully he'll come to visit often! Whatever sport this is I'm glad he's got a lot of protection!
oh he is adorable!!! i am sure you are going to miss him like krazy, but at least he isnt going to be to too far from you :) I am only a 45 min drive from my parents farm and i couldnt imagine being any further away!
