Thanks to all of you for putting my Monarch on the PP. I was thrilled to see that and I appreciate each and every one of you for commenting. And seeing today's offering you might be wondering why you did
I can't put this on the refrigerator so I will showcase it here before it rains. My 35 year old grad student did this on Sunday when we celebrated Gina's (his girlfriend's) birthday. I can't believe how good he is with her sons - and this is supposed to be Noah & Owen.
My Andy is growing up. He is having a great time teaching an English 101 class this semester (wish I could sit in but he frowned upon that idea) and working on that graduate degree. I hope he lands in a college setting while he continues to write. It is perfect for him. He is in love and finding out what that means in a context with two little boys - and doing a really good job of it in his mother's eyes. He is also back to sitting in a pew with me every Sunday morning and I love that.
He's growing up - and still my little boy. I hope he always understands that.
Your son obviously has a very big and loving heart.. being a Step Dad is even harder than being a Dad, and it sounds like he is doing and will do a great job. These chalk art drawings obviously symbolise a lot for you, and for that reason they are wonderful.
Love the photo of the chalk drawings! Now you have the photo, you can put it on the fridge! Very symbolic of his life and all of the changes that he is going through. Lovely comment.
I'm glad you got a picture of the sidewalk drawing before it was washed away. How many drawings have been destroyed without being preserved with a photo.
Oh, these are such wonderful memories--love that you have captured a photo of it. You are obviously very proud of him--as you should be. I wish him all the best of luck as he pursues his career. Your words here really touched my mother heart, Cathy.
Great idea to take a photo of this chalk art to remember a special occasion by! It's wonderful to read your words, because your love and happiness are apparent. All the best to Andy! 8)
They grow up so fast, don't they? He sounds like a wonderful son with lots to be proud of. This is a great piece of art. You could print it out and put it on the fridge:)
your son seems like a lovely person for all he's doing. i take it he takes after you. most times, what our children do is a reflection of how we bring them up and what examples they pick from us. this is a lovely drawing of the two lovely boys.
