I really need to talk to the guys next door and ask if it is OK that I am tiptoeing through their garden while they are at work. The folks that owned that house before them planted a gorgeous garden that the guys are at least watering. These gorgeous yellow Iris are in full bloom and I love them. I just wish like I didn't feel like I needed to snap and run.
Oh the guilty pleasures of being somewhere we shouldn't quite be with our cameras! You could offer to give them some prints of (their) flowers maybe?! Beautiful gladies by the way!
Beautiful! Such stunning blooms, love the pink in the background as a contrast. I took a shot of some of these yesterday in front of a lovely old house, downloaded them at school and deleted it by accident! I'll try to get another tomorrow.....
Very pretty! lol I have permission from the next door neighbor to photograph in their yard and I still feel strange to be in there when they're not home.
Haha - I can just see you skulking around your neighbours yards! I did the same for about a year. Then one Saturday, I walked up to the husband and asked if he minded if I took a few shots of his flowers. He was pleased to show me around. Of course, I heard far more than I wanted to, but I got the shots that I wanted. I never sneak into their back yards, just the front.
@soboy5@happypat@jackie8@filsie65@yonnie@carolmw@olivetreeann@httpgeffed@cindymc@grammyn@timandelke@humphreyhippo@girlie@princesicita My thanks to each of you for commenting. There is some sort of guilty pleasure from sort of sneaking about. They should be OK with it. I also prune their one and only rose bush and have it reblooming. The only thing they have done it water. I hate to be the old lady next door telling them what to do but I also made them water the brand new trees out front during the drought this summer. They just have no clue.
Beautiful iris! I would be flattered if my neighbors wanted to photograph my flower gardens. I bet if you made them a card with this lovely photo they may welcome you to photograph their garden:)
I'm sure they won't mind one bit. :)
