We went to my son Michael's house in Indiana today. We missed Garrett's birthday while we were gone so celebrated again today. He turned six - with two loose bottom teeth that he is very proud of. He takes karate lessons five nights a week - apparently he is pretty good at it. My son just started taking lessons also, so it is good father/son bonding time. This is Garrett's sparing thingie (very technical term that).
I miss them. I hadn't seen them since Christmas. I know that two hours away is nothing compared to so many families - but it is hard. No running across town to see what is happening in their lives. The end of this month is my great grandson's birthday so Michele and Garrett will be home for that celebration. I don't think Michael will make it as they have four dogs......don't ask. But who do you get to watch that many for a day - two of whom would love to kill one another and must be kept separated.
