Raining and dreary again - a good day to tackle something that I haven't tried before. I had fun with oil and water today. I know that I have seen quite a bit of it lately. I don't think I did it correctly - but I enjoyed myself and achieved a shot that I really liked.
First of all - all of my clear dishes are old and have been used for multiple generations. So, I have extra little bubbles in there - and once I quite fighting them I decided I really liked it.
I had all kinds of things under the dish. I tried wrapping paper, craisins, something on my iPad (that was a failure). I finally tore up tissue paper. Then I started getting something worth keeping.
Watch out! I have a new way to amuse myself.
Do you know what, I don't think there's a right or wrong way. I've obviously seen a few of these oil/water shots recently and the wonderful thing about them is that there are no two the same. They're all so different. I love the colours in this...old gold and sophisticated mauve. Beautiful and different and a fav xx
I've got to do it to get it out my system
I found the key was lots & lots of light.
