This is an ironic shot of new life - but not really. I shot this this morning at Spring Grove Cemetery - so New Life in the midst of the dead. I love the idea of that. I'm not being morbid, I'm just closer to the end than the beginning. Spring is finally here and new life surrounds me right now. I walked Spring Grove for a couple of hours this morning, checking out all of my favorite spots. The cherry blossoms are opening, the swan if just fine, the ducks were happy and so was I.
Sorry I haven't been doing enough commenting lately. I have been working hard on compiling images and setting up this account to see if anyone else is as interested in my images as I am. There is no down side to this venture - except for the $30 that I have invested, which in the grand scheme of what this little hobby has cost me is a drop in the bucket.
I've been really taking a break on here, too, my friend. I so need to look into starting up a venture of my own. Lovely springy image. I still need to get to Spring Grove. We still need to meet! Love your image of new life in the midst of death.
This is really beautiful, Cathy... and the symbolism is great, too. Best of luck to you on your venture... I have checked the site a couple of times briefly, but need to give it a better look. :)
rich and elegant.....I love to walk the cemetery too. IN any season, it is amazing. but Spring is the best. Sounds like a good day and good luck with your business venture.
