What I wouldn't give.....

It is cold in Cincinnati. It was in the teens this morning and I think just in the 20's now. So, you are wondering why a dandelion? Why the flower of a weed? Dandelions are persistent - and it really is a pretty flower when you are cold and gray.

This has been such a roller coaster of a week. We thought our hopes for another church home were dashed even though we had been a faithful congregation. We had jumped the largest hurdle and actually found a buyer for our old building, way too big for us and in need of so very much work. We had found a place we wanted to rent but the guy seemed OK at first and then asking way more than the church could even think of paying. But, somewhere about Friday things started to turn around. The landlord of the building that is perfect for us now seems to want to rent to us! If the way be clear (as us Presbyterians like to say) we think we may have our issues resolved very soon! We are sort of like the dandelion. Persistent - and really quite a beautiful small flower. When I pray, I pray BIG. I am praying that one day our church can be the model that so many others like us that are in financial trouble will be able to follow to save their lives. I want us to be that life preserver. God is good, all the time.
Amen! Beautiful little weed, no matter what state of growth that it's in. I'll join you in prayer for your church.

Amen to that. And like a dandelion you can make a wish and scatter it wide! :) x

So cold. Wrong cold. But at least the sun is shining today. So grateful for a roof over my head and a warm heater. Stay warm, my friend!
