I've been watching the Weeping Cherry trees at Spring Grove for three days now - and today was the day. This is now the cover shot on Spring Grove's FB page!
I was wandering around shooting the flowering trees and was standing in the middle of a magnolia when the head horticulturist scared me to death. I don't hear at all out of one ear and he approached on that side. I had no idea he was there until he spoke to me! Anyway, we talked for about a half an hour - I was telling him he had the best job in the world. I may get a tour of the greenhouses soon! He was so nice and ended up pruning the Lyman Magnolia while we were chatting. I now have a gorgeous arrangement that he allowed me to bring home. I love this place.
Fave, such a beautiful scene cathy. Now if the head gardener had a red jumper on you could have asked him to stand beyond the shadows across the road to give a nice end to this lovely shot (people in red always work in a landscape shot :-) )
Amazing beautiful capture Cathy! no surprise though!
