The Canopy Above Me

I don't think I'm ever going to catch up from vacation. I am trying to show where we went without inundating you with my shots. So, I jumped to today - what a novel thought. I went across the street and laid down in their front yard (didn't get arrested) an didn't quite get the photo I wanted. This is totally red from any angle but the one I wanted - but I loved what happened to the bark with the 10-24.

Tom and I often describe winter as the season of naked trees. Note that they are their most beautiful (except for the flowering ones) as the leaves are dying. They are all in the "Autumn" of their days. Now you can guess why I like that analogy.
