We worshipped this morning with Beloved Community Church. They are the all black church that we shared space and services with at the now defunct NPC. We had been talking that it was time for us to get back to doing something to give back as we have been coasting. Nelson's sermon this morning was the first in a series on finding your purpose. God has such a great sense of humor!! I love this man. He is the age of my youngest son and is setting the world on fire in his own way. He has his picture hanging in the Smithsonian as a black preacher that worked as a Peace Keeper in Ferguson. He now travels the country when black men are killed and rioting commences. He believes in peaceable protest. Reminds me of my old hippie self.
God has some awesome characters doing his work in the world. Hope you find your special place before too long.....it's a difficult phase but worth taking time and you'll know!
Very colorful ... God uses the different seasons of lives for different purposes... I am sort of in a transitional season right now myself. Sounds like He has placed this young man in your life to inspire you!
